Compensation over Parcelforce 24 Guarantee – UK Plane issues?
Parcelforce state that with delivery is guaranteed the next working day, but the package I am waiting for is coming from Scotland near Edinburgh to South Yorkshire, so would it ususally take some of its trip by plane (which at the moment is obviously not going to happen)? Will I be able to claim the delivery fee back as they say you can if your parcel is delayed, as I am not sure as this is unusual circumstances?

Maria asks…
Can I claim compensation?
Years ago, a teacher got sacked for abusing students. While I was there, he deliberately crushed my hands and laughed. Under UK law, can I sue at all?
Edit: to explain exactly what he did, he reached over, grabbed my fingers, and squeezed his hands deliberately. When I said “Ow” he laughed maliciously. I believe other students were present, but I can’t remember who.
admin answers:
If someone has deliberately “crushed” your hand, the lawsuit sounds in tort, for battery. On the other hand, if you are mis-using the word “crushed” and all you got was a firm handshake with no injury, then get over it.
